Observation details
I stopped here Friday and didn’t get to get a solid count. Today I set up on a rise where I could watch them shift the whole flock a group at a time to a different part of the field. (Otherwise hard to count because when perched most of them are below the grass tops (field of tall grass) and not visible. Made sure they were all going in one direction so as not to double count. Depending on how big each group was, I counted by 10s or counted inidividuals. Exact number a bit over 300. (I tend to be a conservative counter and feel confident there are at least this many in the flock. Also no other species mixed in. Occasionally a red-winged blackbird would chase a chunk of the flock, but these were easily-distinguished individuals, with even the female BOBOs much lighter in overall appearance than the female RWBL.) Will add photos.
