Observation details

Pale bird, weak face/throat contrast, nuchal region a bit paler than mantle, likely a Willow. No vocalizations heard, and no response to playback to either "Traill's". All photos are of the same individual, to provide an idea of how much the lighting and posture can alter the appearance of a bird (especially an Empid). If anyone wants to try using Pyle's wing formula to increase the likelihood of a species ID of this bird, take a look at the photo that shows the open wing.
