Observation details

Originally found by Gloria Wesley a few hours prior while canoeing. Luckily, we relocated it twice. The second time we were much closer at the very southern edge of the mowed area in the extreme west side of the WMA. The railroad tracks were a couple dozen yards behind us. The bird had returned to the snag we originally saw it from when we were a couple hundred meters north in the same mowed section. During our orginal couple minute obs, a red-tailed flew over it and it just dropped like a stone out of sight below. The second time seeing it, Pete got good photos and I got decent scope photos. New county bird for all!
