Observation details
Compact rail with yellow bill, bold grey-black face markings, and brown-grey barred back and sides. Constantly tail flicking. Never called. Moving along fence line just west of a wooded but wet drainage at Macrae Meadows (36.08541, -81.84872). Observed two different times, almost stepped on it the second. Have phone photo and video.
