Observation details
We accidentally discovered a drongo nest (No. 01) on the Y-shaped branch of a babul tree adjacent to our vehicle. After a while, a Indian White-eyes visited the lateral branch of the same tree and briefly approached the nest (No. 03) before flying away—possibly due to our presence. We then crossed the road and continued observing from a distance behind the car. Upon closer observation, we discovered that a Laughing Dove had occupied a nest (No. 02) just above the drongo’s. Later, we also noticed that a pair of Red-vented Bulbuls were busy building a nest (No. 04) on the right-side branches of the tree. The entire tree seemed like a living apartment for birds. Without causing any further disturbance, we quietly left the place.
