Observation details
Approximately 8:45 am, very close, clear views with naked eye and binoculars. Tree just to the left of the two picnic tables at the west end of parking lot. Clear look at black bill ruled out Yellow-Billed Cuckoo. First noticed twittery movement on outer edge of tree, then the cuckoo came all the way out and sat for at least 30 seconds or so, then it flew to another tree, giving us beautiful views of the wings and tail, which had smaller white spots than would a Yellow-Billed. What an unexpected treat! This photo does NOT include the bird. It is just a photo of the location with where I spotted the bird circled in blue should someone want to try to relocate the bird.
