Observation details
He is still here! Returning male. Singing at the top of a tree on edge of the bottom of the hill (up the trail just a bit that goes up the hill). Hill is located at back of gravel lot off Hunt Dr. He was there for quite a while, singing. An Indigo Bunting booted him off his perch. I had not noticed before, but the Painted's song is quieter than the Indigo's.
