Observation details
Picnic Point. Totally unexpected and was a pleasant surprise. Rather plump dark sandpiper with short orange legs, slightly curved bill with orange base, scaly back, heavily streaked below. A little different look from familiar winter plumage. Believe it is breeding adult.
