Observation details
two light adults and two light juveniles, each seen hours apart going south to north in the park. the adults were close good looks of small buteos with a black and white banded tail and very dark trailing edge; the juveniles were also small pale buteos with brown backs and brown tails (lacking the white U at the base of the tail that young GRHA have), with some light streaking on the face and chest. the first juvenile had little crescents near the wrists, and the second had a bit of a trailing edge that we didn't notice in person but is visible in the photos. Photo 1 is adult #1, 2-3 is juv #1, 4 is adult #2 and 5-8 is juv #2 with some adult gray hawks in the photos for a fun comparison. not the best photos of the juveniles!
