Observation details

NFC 1 | Sweet bird picked up by the NFC mic. Kek call series recorded as the bird flew over- see recording. Tone, cadence etc. match a large rail and tempo narrows it down to KIRA. Frequency is about the same as randomly selected kek series from xeno-canto and duration of each kek is exactly the same (down to the ms) as multiple examples. Presumably this species has to fly over this area to get to several breeding sites N of here (depending on their wintering pop.)? Confirmed by multiple NFC experts on the Nocturnal Flight Calls group.
