Observation details
Adult soaring fairly low over Grackle Pond. Large Buteo, bulky with rather long, broad wings. Diagnostic dark patagial bars, but otherwise unmarked and whitish below, lacking bellyband. Pale brown head and pale red tail. Photo attached.
