Media notes

ID by sight/sound. Narrow valley with a small creek and adjacent wet areas containing deciduous shrubs and trees. Recordings made in the morning between 5:00 and 6:30. Mostly the bird was about 50' away but occasionally it came within 10' of the microphone. At least one other SOSP can, at times, be heard singing from an neighbouring territory.
