Observation details
**rare vagrant (?). Perhaps previously unrecorded in the Lethem/Moco Moco area, but its true status here is clouded by attention and identification issues with regard to swifts in this region. Smaller Streptoprocne (much smaller than the nearby White-collared Swifts, apparently closer in size to the Chaetura and Lesser Swallow-tailed Swifts it was hanging out with) that appeared all dark at a distance, and in most binocular views. Scope views revealed an extensive orange collar and cheek. It seemed to be missing/molting at least one inner primary on the left wing. Was hanging out in the area for two hours, with several encounters of this individual in that time span. Photos.
