Observation details
Correction from eBird reviewer Melissa hafting: "clear hybrid, note the dark blue colour and very gray flanks". I originally IDed as California Scrub-jay. Will upload original photos original text: I saw on eBird scrubjay was reported in this park yesterday so decided to try my luck... It flew into a tree in front yard of a house along Huxley Avenue at lower southwest edge of park, squawking and harrassed by crows. I could see it moving just above me but at this point all I could see that its breast was pale and took a few blind pics with cellphone as it moved quickly with the dark leaves of three, hoping i'd catch some identifying features or outline of the bird at least. It then flew across the street to land briefly on sidewalk before it entered park. With my Canon Powershot I got one wide angle pic and one slightly zoomed in but obscurred before it disappeared. I walked the trail parallel to street trying to find it but no luck and sadly did not get to take a nice look with my binoculars. Back of the camera pics, will upload original quality later. Lighting was poor and they are grainy.
