Media notes
Mother perching above trail after leaving the nest.
Observation details
Mother and one owlet on nest. After sunset, mother left the nest and went into a tree right above Lower Panther Hollow Trail. Wenting briefly saw the father flying. Could not find the rescued owlet, though in hindsight we probably didn’t search in the right place (Anderson Playground). Something seems to have happened to the second remaining owlet in nest, who we last saw on Feb 28.
