Observation details

*rare; flushed from creek margin during marsh sparrow rope drag survey. Poor in-flight photographs revealed light gray auriculars, bright orange facial stripes, and crisp dark streaking atop bright orange wash on breast and flanks. Bird dropped down into Spartina before flushing again into brushy edge at (31.2517560, -81.2891373). Relocated in brush, providing great views of above field marks, as well as distinct white median crown stripe and streaked grayish-lavender nape. Photographed extensively. Lifer for Kristen!
