Observation details

Bean Goose found at 9:30, still present at 9:50. Swimming near small concrete structure in the water near the berm. Must have been sleeping on the ice near the south end of the reservoir and overlooked despite many scans. A bit smaller than nearby Canadas with proportionately shorter neck. dark brown neck and head, orange patch near tip of bill. Horizontal white strip on flank. Fine white striping on folded wing feathers. Passable phone-scoped shots attached
