Observation details

Juvenile bird. Poor photos uploaded. I presume the same individual that was observed by another eBirder on 1 February 2025. Skittish bird feeding at the edge of two clumps of reeds only briefly pausing outside of cover. Otherwise, dashing across open spaces. Flew up once into the reeds and appeared on the mud again a couple of minutes later. Bill black and longer than crakes. Overall, dark black/brown/red-brown.
