A quick flash of red in display, the male fanning his tail and spreading his wings, while the female flies quickly away, and he follows after her. A young glossy can be heard begging in the background.
Observation details
Courting and copulation observed, and a begging juvenile. First pair arrived: 8:20pm Pair mated: 8:35 - 8:41pm Waited around until about 9:14 to fly down to the dam for a drink.
