Observation details
Red dot, unexpected and rather bizarre, initially began visit by scanning up the lake and as I worked my way down saw a flock of tiny gulls flying away at a long distance heading up the lake and reminded me of terns in flight, kept following and eventually all revealed black underwings otherwise appearing pale, sent out the alert and tried to keep tabs on them, eventually disappeared up the lake but circled back around once at great distance before vanishing again up the lake, curiously no other gulls associating with the group and never saw even a hint of a bonaparte's gull throughout the entire area
