Media notes

Two kinds of calls by a female in the nest, first normal ones before the male arrives, then more accelerated just when he arrives with food.

Observation details

Nest in Populus alba, on the conjunction of a triple big branch, at about 5 m high. I am in a hide on a c. 4 m platform. The female (most time in the nest and feeding the chicks with care) is of the dark morph. The male (in charge of hunting and quickly bringing the food) is of the pale morph. There are two young, white chicks, of rather similar size.
