Observation details

*Rare anywhere in the US during the winter. Briefly seen and also heard; buffy eyering and supraloral, olive-brown upperparts with complete lack of rufous in primaries or tail, slightly longer-winged than HETH; flight calls a relatively low-pitched and emphatic “peer” that started clear yet ended burry (HETH flight calls usually lack any burriness and are less emphatic, more descending). Will add audio but unable to get photos.
