Observation details

Field marks: medium to small chunky flycatcher shape, head dark gray and big, back gray, pale chin, pale chest, stomach and vent but with a grayish wash on chest and more yellowish toward vent, margins of flight feathers and wing coverts edged faint light brown (faint wing bars), notch to tail, bill wide and whiskered, underwings light. Singing frequently from tops of spruce. Song and field marks checked with Cornell online references.I took photos, and made a sound recording.
