Observation details
Seen with a crowd of about 30 diehard birders between 8:01-8:02am from the top of the South Slope above the ponds. It was a close flyby over our heads and in front of us. We were able to keep it in view for 30-45 seconds. It was clearly distinguishable from the surrounding horde of laughing gulls. The rich, solid brown color stood out plainly with the naked eye making it easy to trace visually. The cold windy conditions made this viewing remarkable.
