Observation details

Flyover flock in area with extensive grassland habitat of varied structure, exact count. Sparrowlike birds, warm brown above and buffy below. White on outside tail feathers was wider than Lapland Longspur, and at least one bird had noticeable white inner coverts. Rattle flight call slower than LALO, slightly dropping in pitch at the end; low quality recording obtained.
