Observation details

As soon as I stepped onto the platform and scanned the prairie, I made out 3 distant SEOWs, perhaps 300yds to the southeast. They were flying back and forth and swooping around with their expansive wingbeats. It was still light enough to see them well. I could hear their high-pitched barks. As it got darker, I could hear the calls get closer and had good looks at the owls but it was too dark for photos. Most likely my estimate of 6 is low but not seeing them all at once made it difficult to claim more.
