Two pair calling back and forth in response to playback.
Observation details
we heard these calling and quickly positioned inside the forest to try to see them, and as we did we realized two pairs were countersinging. Cullen and Alex should have some excellent recordings. We positioned ourselves and our speakers strategically and got two brief and distant looks as they crossed the trail maybe 25m away; on the second crossing they returned via there sane path and MJI was able to snap a few photos, a couple of them almost in focus. One of the specialty birds here with an extremely restricted (modern) range.
