Observation details
Brian and I were watching Common Mergansers dive for fish. Gulls often steal fish from the mergansers, especially when the fish is too big for a merganser to swallow. A gull was on the ice along the shoreline eating a fish that was likely stolen from a merganser. Well, gulls aren't the only thieves that like fish! This immature Bald Eagle swooped in and stole the fish from the gull! And so goes the circle of life.
