Observation details

Big black bird with bulbous beak, from GBAN by bill curvature & voice. This entire trail is inaccessible to motorized vehicles and the closest parking spot is here: (25.6088965, -80.5372833) at SW 213 x SW 168. From there it is two miles south by foot or bike along the berm trails to where the ani was. It was moving between some taller reed/thicket islands here: (25.5856884, -80.5466760). If you want to look for it I recommend you arrive early (be at the parking spot pre-dawn), not just for the ani but general birding since out here the birding gets slow after the first two hours past sunrise.
