Observation details
First fall/winter. Straight bill, plain face, streaked back, orange/yellow brightest on breast, straight white median coverts with some yellow, bold wingbars, and orange/yellow undertail coverts. Distinguished from Bullock’s oriole from its lack of a whitish belly and its different wing pattern, this individual lacked pointed tips on the upper margin of its median coverts, resulting in a straight rather than “serrated” appearance.
