Observation details
Bird still present this morning, foraging on the north part of the lake. The bird was best seen from the north part of Mitchell Park or from the Lake Road near the turnout by the dam on the north part of the lake. It was foraging with a number of Bonaparte's gulls. The Little Gull was smaller than the Bonaparte's and was noted to have an ear patch and smudgy brown cap. A near M-pattern was noted on the dorsal wings in flight. Fairly long wings present. Small and pointed bill noted. Photos attached.
