Media notes
YTVI recording with primarily monotone or downslurred calls.
Observation details
Seen and photographed in the approximate area where I had earlier glimpsed the other Vireo with essentially no yellow visible (the potential Cassin’s or hybrid species). Multiple recordings obtained over time of one or possibly two typical sounding YTVI, calls which would be considered essentially monotone or down-slurred repetitive calls with much more spacing between stanzas, compared to the other Vireo only briefly seen (recordings of it below, in the "vireo sp" record). Second bird had more extensive yellow on belly, bill appeared flatter, stubbier or malformed - wondered if it might be a juvenile, but uncertain, and would be early and it showed no signs of greyish on underside..
