Paul Lehman found it Dec. 2. Northern area of dog park; Marcie picked it out of a large flock of Horned Larks. We were able to watch it feeding on low, dry vegetation for a while and see many details. Beautiful, colorful bird: golden orange face with black triangle through the eye and around the cheek, orange extending around part of the neck, black streaking on top of head, pink bill, rufous in wings with black primary tips extending, black streaking on tan back, messy black markings across the breast.
