Observation details
Continuing. Found originally by Liam Thorne on Nov 30. Observed south-west of Hickory Island, close to Bull's Point. Very active... moving continuously while feeding amongst the gulls and Green-winged Teals near the mudflats (water level was very low). Took flight a number of times while being chased by Ring-billed Gulls. Pale phalarope with black smudge behind eye and white cheeks. Bill was shorter and thicker than Wilson's or Red-necked Phalarope. Its back was a solid non-streaked gray, paler than Red-necked Phalarope. Underwing was mostly white.
