Observation details
Continuing, foraging over the lake and close to shore, at times flying within inches of our heads. Many photos. Really cool experience! Yesterday there had been 3, and one was found dead under the rafters where they roosted the night before. Apparently different birds than those found by Dave Nutter on Friday in Ithaca, as the owners of the dock we were standing on mentioned they had seen the swallows there on Friday; the molt pattern in the wings also seems different.
