NOTES: Pachyramphus castaneus. Neotropical Institute Cut # 3. Bulk reel: 152 6:15 to 6:30 AM. Weather: fair Almost certainly same bird (or pair) as in Cut #2. This is all natural song. Quality: 1-2; Level: 0. First a single bird (presumably the male) is heard in the whistled song. Then it's joined by another bird with a chattering voice, presumably its mate and female. At one place is heard a "trill" from these birds that is rather similar to that given by P. rufus. Then whistling bird is heard as it sings from several different positions in its early AM foraging. A few times the trills are also given. Near end the loud Pisca call of Piaya cayana is heard.
