NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 2. Bulk reel: 152 Weather: fair a) One song, natural (first sounds in background are by Myiozetetes similis, adult and young.) Quality: 1-2; Level: 0-5. b)Then, songs after playback of first above. All songs apparently by male (in background is heard P. castaneus; also other birds, esp. Chiroxiphia lanceolata)(also hear M. similis as above.) Quality: 1; Level: 0-2. c) After more playback. A diff erent bird flew into focus next to male and gave a "trill" song. It was no doubt the female of rufus (note similarity to sounds of Cut #1 [LNS 62569] but could possibly be P. castaneus which was present too. Both species were active in the same tree and possibly even nesting. Then continues with pair together again. Quality: 1; Level: 0-2. At end are two songs by male that are ~normal" sounding. Quality: 1-2; Level: 0-2.
