Observation details
Spotted along the railroad tracks, by James Maughn, this very yellow bird was seen by myself, and several others jumping from bush to bush to small trees to the ground near the railroad tracks. Sometimes so close to the to the actual metal rails that it disappeared from view if you were on the other side. The bird seemed to be catching insects on the ground and spotting them from the bushes. It did some scratching in the dirt and dry grasses as well. In the space of about 20 minutes 3 SUV's, and one mountain bike drove right over it's foraging area, but after a short period in the trees it would continue where it had left off. Pictures will be the description, other than to observe that the bill was bigger and sturdier than standard equipment found on most warblers.
