Observation details

At least two groups, one of 15-20 birds and the other of 30-50 (possibly more groups, may have seen over a hundred individuals briefly in flight), calling, both flight chatter and longer reedy calls; a few stopped briefly around hemlock trees--could make out white wing bars, curved beak tips, notched tail on stocky, streaked finch-like birds... unfortunately had to horrendously over-expose pics because I could only get them extremely backlit
