Observation details
Detected by call before 9:00, a minute later seen at 5m distance as it foraged discretely on black poplar. Small Phylloscopus warbler, smaller than collybita and roughly the size of a wren, with greenish upperparts, two yellow stripes on the wing coverts, striking yellowish supercilium and white underparts, below the bib. Tertial edges white and very striking. Legs light. Saw it on and off for around 5 minutes before it disappeared. Unfortunately didn’t have any photographic equipment with me but managed to record it’s call and make a small video with the mobile phone. Video of poor quality but it shows the contrast between the white lower parts and the darkish upperparts. At 0:03 a hint of the wingbar can be seen.
