Media notes
Individual #1, who was singing.
Observation details
Two males seen early in the morning near the transect start point. One sang while perched on the fence; I saw the second individual later, perched within a meter of the first, which was again singing from a fencepost. I was surprised by the lack of territoriality or aggression exhibited, though I did see the birds fly together twice, with one perhaps chasing the other. I noticed that the hayfield east of Head Ln, where I saw Bobolinks several times earlier this year, has been cut; perhaps there were nests that were destroyed, and they are renesting on the PPLT land? I have not seen any females here.
