NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 15. Bulk reel: 146 Weather: Cloudy, fair, windy. *These recordings are being filed here provisionally. They may be of this species but as I do not yet know the voices of S. unicolor or S. magellanicus. I have no basis for certain decision. Quality: 1-2. Level: +3. 203 tape. a) Two different song types heard and one faster (like S. latebricola) and one slower; the faster one, which is in background, has a rhythm different from S. latebricola as I know it from Tachica; however, in the background at end are heard some "nasal bleats" which seem quite like S. latebricola. Quality: 1-2. Level: +3. [There is no b).] LNS: Reclassified from S. latebricola to S. meridanus based on identification by Tom Schulenberg. -M. Medler, 12 March 2009.
