NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 3. Bulk reel: 145 The "long trill," similar to Cut 2a), but now going on almost indefinitely as the bird's waking song. Quality: 1. Level: 4.5. 6/V/71. The identification of Cuts 3) & 4a) must be rechecked. These have a different quality from the other cuts, including 4b). Actually, all the Andean Scytalopus should be rechecked with collecting of specimens tied to recordings. [Recordist indicated that he used a parabola but did not specify make/model. He also did not indicate what type of microphone he used.] LNS: Reclassified from S. latebricola to S. meridanus based on identification by Tom Schulenberg. -M. Medler, 12 March 2009.
