Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. NOTES: Note made in field (Rio Grande; 21/V/66) says that a single bird seen, then one of a pair seen at another time, in both cases on ground something like a Seiurus in behaviour, made a clicking noise. [sic] The click sounded like a bill snap. But with each click the bird also made a wing-flick, a quick extension and return of the wings, and I don't know if this movement is just coincidental with a bill snap or whether the click is actually made by the wings. Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 143 Weather: Fair. First, some songs given naturally. Quality: 2. Level: +14. Then after playback. Quality: 1. Level: +10 & +5. [Recordist indicated that he used a parabola but did not specify make/model. He also did not indicate the type of microphone used.].
