Observation details
Found earlier this morning on a GOS trip and photographed by many. Our resident Glynn HAFL expert, Eliot, also saw and photographed the bird and agrees it’s a Hammond’s based on the greener plumage, peaked crest, white teardrop eyering, and most importantly, the large gap between the longer P9 and shorter P8 feathers. Photos later. Its poop was also collected and will hopefully be sent to a lab at a later date.
