Observation details
Unexpected at this date here. Calling and flitting excitedly at dusk. I was first alerted to it by its heavy (for a warbler) call note. Spished in a yellow warbler with bright yellow face and thin black border around face characteristic of adult female Hooded Warbler. Actively flashing white webs along outer tail feathers. Unmistakable. Got bad phone recording of distinctive call note.
