Observation details
A quick sweep of the succulents right on the waterline of 0rielton Proper let me know that I was back in business at last; Wader Season has well and truly begun again, with the dainty Golden Plovers materialising in and out of the scenery with their bleached-cold tones!! That wasn't all, though... as I went to bag the Curlews, the Golden Plovers all flew across to the side of the Golf Course, into the old Sharp-Tails Corner. Figuring I'd get them later, I largely forgot about them for the next hour or so... until, quite suddenly, just when I was thinking about how it was fair enough that they'd left that area after so much time, THERE THEY WERE!!! About five metres or so from my feet, the Golden Plovers were clearly every bit as stunned to see me at such close range as I was to see them!!! They all froze... which combined with the pastel evening light made for my best photoshoot with them in years!!!
