Media notes
NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 7. Bulk reel: 139 Weather: Fair. Natural song. Quality: 1-2. Level: +3. 203 tape. The possible different bird referred to in comments is that heard in Cut 11 of Turdus serranus. Note: During few days past at 2400 m., Pino La Nariz, Trujillo, what little song I heard (none was heard very well) seemed to lack the "up turn" of frequency and increased amplitude at end of phrase. Also the song seemed rather "weak." One bird encountered by chance was giving some loud bill "snapping"; it was this sound that caused me to look for the source and I found it to be this species. The significance of this sound is not known but perhaps indicates bother or conflict.
