Media notes

Singing blue-headed vireo near the south end of the Mason -Delta Road. There were three blue-headed vireos together. At least one sang; the fainter recordings at the end of this cut may have been a second bird singing. The bird I was initially recording was close by me to the SSE. After a pause in singing, one began singing due E of me, and though I never saw the first bird fly to that position, the other two birds had already flown to that area. Thus, I suspect the second fainter bout of singing actually was a second singing vireo. In any event, I'm not familiar with this species singing during fall migration. When I first attempted to record the first bird, it shut up just before I got the recorder going, so I played a BHVI song from the Merlin app, and that triggered the bout of singing recorded here.
