Media notes
My first view of the bird while it was singing in this Doug Fir at the I st pond.
Observation details
WHOA. Adult male that I heard singing right when I got out of my car at the first I st parking lot. I then saw a bird perched up on the spindly Doug Fir right along I st at the I st pond and there was an all red male Summer Tanager. Bird then flew across the pond to the west side. Played the mob tape with SUTA call and the bird came right in and gave amazing looks and posed for photos. Aidan B, Sarah H., Rob Willis, and Owen Sinkus and friend showed up and got to enjoy the bird before it flew back across the pond to o the west side. Later the bird came back to willows adjacent to parking lot and showed well while starting to Hawkwatch. Photos later. First record for the Marsh!
